Spring: March to May

Spring is one of the most popular seasons to visit Bhutan. During this time, the landscapes come alive with vibrant colours, and blooming rhododendrons add beauty to the hills and valleys. The weather is generally mild and pleasant, making it ideal for sightseeing, cultural tours, and trekking.

Delayed Arrivals

There is no additional charge from Asian Tours and Travel for delays in arrival or departure caused by weather conditions, flight disruptions, roadblocks, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. However, travellers are responsible for any extra costs related to food, accommodation, transportation, and other necessary services during the delay.

We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance before their trip to Bhutan to cover unexpected delays, cancellations, medical needs, and other travel-related emergencies.

Cancellations

Cancellation policies may vary depending on the tour package, hotels, airlines, and third-party service providers involved in the travel arrangement. Asian Tours and Travel will clearly communicate the applicable cancellation terms at the time of booking.

Wire Transfer

Before your trip to Bhutan, you may be required to make full payment for your holiday package through bank transfer as instructed by Asian Tours and Travel. The total payment may include the tour package cost, the one-time visa fee, the applicable Sustainable Development Fee, and any other confirmed travel services.

Payment should be transferred through the approved banking channel provided by Asian Tours and Travel. Once the transfer is completed, travellers are requested to email a copy of the bank wire receipt to us for confirmation and processing.

Bhutan Trip Cancellation Policy

We sincerely hope that you will not have to cancel your journey to Bhutan. However, if circumstances require you to cancel your trip, the following cancellation policy will apply:

  • More than 60 days before the start of the travel program: USD 150 flat rate per person, plus any advance payments made to hotels, if applicable, and bank transfer charges.
  • Between 60 and 10 days before the start of the travel program: 45% of the package cost will be retained as cancellation charges.
  • Within 10 days of travel: 100% of the package cost will be retained as cancellation charges.

Air Ticket Cancellation Policy

For air tickets that have been issued and later cancelled, the following refund conditions may apply:

  • More than 30 days before the date of travel: 75% refund permitted.
  • Between 30 days and 10 days before the date of travel: 50% refund permitted.
  • Before 4 days from the date of travel: 25% refund permitted.
  • Within 4 days of the travel date: No refund permitted.

Air Ticket Rescheduling Policy

For issued air tickets that are later rescheduled, a rescheduling fee of USD 40 or the equivalent in local currency may apply for every flight rescheduled less than 72 hours before the date of travel. Rescheduling charges may not apply to business class passengers, subject to the airline’s terms and conditions.
